But the movie was lacking. Most noticeably with that hack they tried to replace as Daisy. HORRIBLE! I rather wish they would have explained away her character. That was just AWEFUL! LONG "LIVE" TOILET SEAT GIRL!!!

Loved the series. I think this was their attempt to restart it but they did a terrible job. It made absolutely no sense. The new actress who played Daisy was bad. I wish I could erase it from my memory. Blech.

I loved dead like me and the cast was perfect. Let me repeat, perfect! I wish Laura Harris could have been in this movie or at least instead of replacing the character, daisy, took her out and made a new one. Ruined the movie in my opinion. Its hard to even watch this other lady play her part. Go watch season 1 and 2, much more satisfying. As for removing Rube just plain sad. They took out 2 very unique main characters. big mistake :(

Ok. At first I was annoyed that Mandy Paitinkin (Rube) was missing. I was also very annoyed that (Laura Harris) was missing. Paitinkin was the soul of the television program, and Haris's beauty, wit, and comic timing must be experienced. After I got over the fact that they were missing and just went with the story, I liked it. Very much. Ellen Murth was still adorably sardonic, and if I have to be reaped, I hope it's her. I've seen so much of Callum Blue since DLM, that seeing him in this role made me realize just how versatile he is. (Kneel before Zod!). It was wonderful to see how much Britt McKillip (Reggie Lass) had grown as an actor and person. I can also never get enough of Cynthia Stevenson (Joy Lass). She's just a natural comedienne with a warmth that comes through her character. I love her voice. What can I say, I enjoyed it. So if you like Dead Like Me the series, I'm sure you will enjoy the movie. Ignore the complain reviews here. Just put it on, let it go, let it talk to you, and by the end you will feel Rube's presence, and you'll know you've been taught a lesson again. I for one would love to see another.

The series was fantastic but the movie fell somewhat short of my expectations. I expected it to wrap up the storyline from the series finale but that was not to be. Must ask ask simple question of any/all Dead Like Me fans: The song running at the end of episode 5: Reapercussions (Season #1) is awesome but cannot find credits for the artist or song anywhere. Can anyone teel me the name of the song and the artist?
  • Great movie with some mistakes

I loved the series and this movie but there were a few problems. Rube is gone and, other than a few doubts about what happened, no one cared (which is not like the characters). The person that replaced Daisy was HORRIBLE and didn’t act like her at all! Last, in some areas it could have used better writing. Other than that I still really liked this movie and would love to see a season 3 (Maybe involving why Rube is really gone and how they are going to get him back...?)!

This movie is pointless. I just didn't get it, and it just seemed to end out of nowhere. By far the most pointless movie since the two hour hell that is "new world" I mean just dumb.
  • Preview not good

This really is a great show but you can't tell from the preview. I saw this late night not knowing it was a final movie. I bought both seasons the next day. Really good show but now that I love Rube the movie makes more scense and it's not as good without him. He was the anchor.
  • Evolution of Characters

This movie picks up where the show left off. Rube is gone and frustraions over wanting to know where he went are senseless. The show always carefully avoided answering where anyone went. The trials and tribulations of the reapers with a new boss and Rube gone are frustrating for anyone excpecting the smooth nature of the series, but make complete sense if you consider that Dead like me was always following the main character, George. The movie shows George as a competant reaper (the best of the team) coming into her own without guidance from rube just as she did in handling Ray. The Daisy Character is completely uninteresting in the movie and lacks the flair of and presumption Daisy always had. Overall, if you consider that the show follows the evolution of George I think the movie does a pretty good job of continuing in the direction the show went. I always thought the story had a heavy theme of George growing up after she died. The movie shows a reaper with true compassion.

If you loved Dead Like Me, don't bother watching this. It'll just ruin your memory of the show. Rube is gone. Daisy is a completely different character played by Sarah Wynter instead of Laura Harris. Cameron's addition to the cast is perplexing. Roxy is nothing like herself, and George does everything Rube always told her not to with minimal consequences. I would love another Dead Like Me movie, and this awesome show deserves better than this.
