The Interpreter

The reviews were somewhat mixed on this movie but the description was quite interesting so I took a chance. After all, the two leads were big names. I still maintain the premise of the story could be fabulous. But this execution simply did not rise to the potential of the plot. The acting is poor - two big names too - what a shame that. I don't have the expertise to determine if this is the fault of the directors, the screenwriters, the actors themselves or all of them together. There was a distance in the settings and interactions that did not allow me to enter into the story as good books and movies do. I've never seen Nicole Kidman in a movie that I felt the role could not have been done more justice by another actress. Now I know I just need to ignore anything in which she appears. Sean Penn I've seen in other movies that were good, ok - but never brilliant. Disappointing too, the plot could have been fascinating if done in a way that we'd have shivered with tension. Glad I just rented it. Suggest you save that money for a better choice.

it starts out slow but the last 30 min it catches up and gets good. For 5 bucks- it's worth it!

nicole kidman was amzing in this movie it was so good she looked beautiful in this movie wow wouldnt everyone want to look like her she is such an amzing actress everuone nows that nicole kidman should go down in history forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plot: horrible. Acting: Sean Penn cannot act. Don't waste your time.

this is a great movie about the UN and one you should definitely see. Check it out.

this movie was gud and worth your time. Great performance by Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman and all of the other actors in the film. Its watchable (as in you can watch it over and over). I wouldn't buy this movie thought i would just rent it. Too bad they dnt hav a rent 2 own thingy on here lol.

I love this movie! Ever since I saw it I have always thought of how cool it would be to be an interpreter. Nicole Kidman is amazing in this movie and so is Sean Penn. The movie is so dramatic and has that whole mystery/ thriller thing going on for it. I would totally recommend this movie and once you see you'll love it just as much as I do!

This movie was absolutely amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat and paying attention the whole time. Both Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn were fabulous, and VERY believable as characters. Screw the renting, I say, BUY IT!
