Description

The plan was flawless. The execution was perfect. Charlie Croker pulled off the crime of a lifetime. The one thing that, he didn't plan on was being double-crossed. Now he wants more than the job's payoff...he wants payback. Mark Wahlberg is electrifying as Croker in this "fast and furious action-adventure." Along with a drop-dead gorgeous safecracker (Charlize Theron), Croker and his team take off to re-steal the loot and end up in a pulse-pounding, pedal-to-the-metal chase that careens up, down, above and below the streets of Los Angeles. With an ensemble all-star cast that also includes Edward Norton, Seth Green, Jason Statham, Mos Def, Franky G and Donald Sutherland, The Italian Job is "Hot!"

taut edits, fun dialouge, cast perfectly, and great scenery. there are no false notes, in this, no excessive violence, a carefully planned heist, and the adventure that ensues. I wish there were more movies that were this much fun I am surprised the director has not done more, as he kept a tight ship in terms of the pace intereaction scenery, and interactions.

  • I hate this film, solely because the original is my favourite film of all time.

The Italian Job (1969) is my favourite film of all time. It's absolutely timeless. With this 2003 remake, Director F. Gary Gray definitely doesn't blow the bloody doors off. In fact this film is so brainless, it makes me wonder if F. Gary Gray has EVEN SEEN the 1969 film! When I tell people my favourite film is The Italian Job, they automatically assume I'm referring to the 2003 film. They're making a COLOSSAL MISTAKE. I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone. Stick with the 1969 film, AVOID THE 2003 FILM!!!

Every time I thought it was going to be predictable, it had a turn in the storyline. Full of good twists and turns. Worth watching!
