If you enjoy thoughful but rapidly moving drama you will be glad you watched. Refreshing to see Brando in a different role. Compelling drama with a couple of light moments that bring a smile. Exciting the way you hope you would see DeNiro to perfection. Thoughful, compelling, draw you in kind of drama with a bit of heart racing excitement just to keep you on the edge of your seat. Worth every penny as a rental and may be worth watching a couple of times to catch the nuances missed the first time through. Edward Norton is simply superb as the afflicted insider / semi-pro thief. You will not regret watching this.
  • The Score a classic centered in history

The score may make a facade off being no more than a mindless action, escapade film, but upon a second glance and severe deconstructive criticism hiiden allusions float to the surface. First and foremost Edward Norton's timeless character portrayal upon study reflects the same characteristics and methods of practice as a Cold War mole. The plan so artfully enacted reflects the same battle strategy as the British in the battle of Blenheim. Even the thieve code of never enacting a job alone and never in one's native territory copies the 19th century gangs in the Khitrovka districts in Moscow. Frank Oz therefore is not an adrenaline addict, but rather a sophisticated visionary who artfully weaves history in with mindless violence and action. You must be really bored to have read this far.

The story line, the actors and their acting, and the music were all great. However, my one complaint is that you cannot buy the soundtrack with the great song at the end by Diana Krall "I'll make it up as I go." What's the problem? How do I get this song on iTunes?

  • An above-average crime drama with an unforgettable De Niro performance!

Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando, and Edward Norton. Three of the best method actors from their generation combine together in director Frank Oz's "The Score". The movie itself is well above-average, with excellent performances by said actors. The movie does start off a little slow for some, but the film's speed is important to the movie. It shows how De Niro's character lives his life, and his life is essential to the plot. But the movie picks right back up and lures you right into the story, never letting you go until the very end! On a side note, "The Score" is also known as Marlon Brando's final, completed film before he passed away 3 years after the film was released. A conventional, yet stylish caper film, "The Score" scores big as a well-recommended iTunes purchase on all counts!

What movie, excellent screen play, excellent plot and excellent editing. Worth watching it!!. Robert DeNiro and Ed Norton have played to their best. The plot weakens when they get the passcodes of Iron clad system so easily. But if you overlook that childish part, movie is excellently made.
