  • Too dumb to review.

Stupid cubed, but Maggie Q put so much effort into this bomb that I have to give it three stars for her physical effort - though it was still too hard to suspend disbelief.

Sorry, but no. love all the actors/actress. But this was poorly produced, trite, commodity material making a buck off the genre.

If you like just senseless killing with lots off gross blood screens with no real story, then this is that movie for you.

Got about half an hour in and just turned it off. Everything about this - despite its decent cast - screams 90s straight-to-video. It’s not quite as cliché and boring as the latest string of Bruce Willis movies that are gumming up the release lists - but it’s just as unwatchable.

I hate to write bad reviews and I think very highly of Michael Keaton, Maggie Q (whose potential I think she's still yet to totally tap), and of course Samuel Jackson. I can enjoy this type of escapist action film more often than I would think, and often write reviews defending such. I can say some of the fight scenes, e.g., with Maggie Q using a bunch of flat metal trays or whatever, were very well done. Just somehow it failed to grab me at a deep emotional level which, even a simple plot of early childhood trauma by an evil person or person setting the course for the main character's life and action and violence, can very often do. Anyway, the cinematography and set decorations, or visual environs, were well done, or opulent. Maybe it's just me, though. I see some good reviews, so study them also.
