Description

On the outskirts of Brooklyn, Frankie, an aimless teenager, suffocates under the oppressive glare cast by his family and a toxic group of delinquent friends. Struggling with his own identity, Frankie begins to scour hookup sites for older men. When his chatting and webcamming intensify, he begins meeting men at a nearby cruising beach while simultaneously entering into a cautious relationship with a young woman. As Frankie struggles to reconcile his competing desires, his decisions leave him hurtling toward irreparable consequences. Eliza Hittman's award-winning Sundance hit is a powerful character study that is as visually stunning as it is evocative.

  • What a waste of time

Absolutely ridiculous! Made ZERO sense. Drug use was an uncalled for addition to this lousy film. The end was absolutely bizarre and makes you wonder what you just watched and why you wasted your money. DON’T RENT! The film had absolutely no plot!

...and there was no zero option. For me, this movie meandersd like someone determined to take up your time with a story that goes nowhere, just so they can hold your attention like a captive audience. A good-looking lead actor with chops doesn't make up for the time and money spent.

Really, don't waste your money. I will have to say this one was so boring and went absolutely no where. Every time you thought, oh, they're going somewhere with this now, they cut it off. Could've been a lot better.
  • It works!

Harris Dickinson is brilliant and you absolutely believe his character. You love him, feel sorry for him and yet want to yell at him to get rid of his beach bum friends and get his life together. But all in all its a move that if you like gay movies with an unconvential edge, you will most likely enjoy this one!
  • Poor version of Moonlight

Seriously it was like soft porn. None of the supporting cast characters were developed. It ends like it begins. Drifting.
  • Boring and pointless

“Kids” of this generation? I think not. It’s so boring and badly done the story goes nowhere.

Unknown Harris Dickinson was absolutely amazing. He removed himself and you was able to see the character flaws and all. I’m a fan can’t wait to see him in other films.
  • Same old same old

This story (the hunky guy is gay is secretly gay and afraid his friends will find out) has been done to death, but never with a script this bad. It was sleep inducing. Harris Dickinson is great, and very easy on the eyes; too bad he was given such garbage to work with.
  • Good acting bad ending

The story was very well acted but the writing ended this with no hope and really no distinct ending. When it’s over you wondered what the purpose of the film was.
